Help with money and debt

For some time we have been concerned about the impact of debt on local families. Cardiff, like most cities in Wales and the UK, has very high levels of personal debt, and the recent economic turmoil has made matters worse. We know that unmanaged debt causes huge problems – stress, illness, marital problems, family break-ups and long-term it can affect an individual’s access to a mortgage and other credit.   We have partnered with Christians Against Poverty so that we can offer help here in Cardiff.

Christians Against Poverty (CAP) is a national debt counselling charity working through a network of over centres based in local churches like Albany Road Baptist Church. Working with CAP we can offer hope and a solution to anyone in debt through this unique, in-depth service. The CAP service is practical, long-term and freely available to anyone, regardless of age, race, religion, disability or any other factor.  To get help you need phone the freephone number and CAP will arrange an appointment for you. After you call CAP, a Debt Coach and Support Worker from our church will visit you in your own home.
